Ministry’s cooling program kicks off amid ongoing heatwave

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Last year, Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM) was able to help nearly 500 people with its cooling program. Now, in the middle of one of the hottest summers in recent history, even more people are in need.

Over 200 people have already benefited from ABCCM’s cooling program this year. Over 500 are expected to need the service as they continue to feel the heat.
