Food & Shelter
On behalf of ABCCM, we thank Asheville Outlets for hosting the week long Food Drive from May 1 thru May 8th. A big thank you to the neighbors, friends, family, and church family who donated 7,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to families in need. Close to 1,800 bags of groceries were delivered to ABCCM’s Hominy Valley Crisis Ministry where local volunteers will separate, organize, and palletize all that AMAZING food.
Gifts such as this helps us keep our shelves stocked so that we can offer a variety of goods to our clients at the Crisis Centers during this critical time. Together, we have been facing a truly unprecedented situation. The coronavirus pandemic has affected so many families and businesses in our local community. It is heartwarming to see the best of people coming out to support struggling families throughout Buncombe County.
ABCCM believes that the worst of times has the potential to bring out the best in all of us. Thanks again for Asheville Outlets for their commitment to our community. It is because of organizations like yours that ABCCM has been able to meet the essential needs of the less fortunate in the community we serve.
